Physical therapist, PhD from 1999, Chairman Norwegian research center for active rehabilittaion (NAR), Chairman research Orthopedic Center, Ullevaal University Hospital and NIMI. She is assoc professor at the master program in sport physical therapy at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, Dept of Sport Medicine. She is the main supervisor for 6 PhD students and 5 master students in the field of active rehabilitation, ACL injuries, knee OA, hip OA, osteoporosis, active rehab after breat cancer surgery, and active rehab for patients with chronic heart failure.

Nina Kise is an orthopedic surgeon working in Martina Hansens Hospital in Bærum. She is subspecialized in arthroscopic surgery in knees and shoulders including anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions, meniscal repairs, rotatorcuff repairs and glenohumeral stabilizations, in addition to arthroplasties of knee and hip joints. In 2011 she has started her PhD project focusing upon degenerative meniscus tears and long term results after treatment with either arthroscopic partial meniscal resections or exercise therapy evaluated by functional outcome and progression of joint degeneration.

The Norwegian Ullevaal model” in 2009. She now works at NIMI 50% as a senior researcher with cardiac rehabilitation. She is responsible for the Oslo Heat-Ex Study, a long term follow up of cardiac rehabilitation patients in primary care. She also works 50% as a senior researcher at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevaal and is an associate professor at the Bergen University Collage where she is a supervisor for five master student.

Long term results" in Januari 2011 She works for NAR  with a postdoctoral project  on long-term follow-up on patients following anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions. She now works on the postdoctorial project: Efficacy of strength and aerobic exercise on physical function and cartilage health in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Responsible for the research project: “Active Rehabilitation for patients with cartilage lesions  -  A new approach to rehabilitation after cartilage lesions and after cartilage repair”. This study is a cooperation project with the Department of Orthopaedics at the Oslo University Hospital.
